Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:00). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract.

Highlights:

• 91-day travel assignment in a culturally diverse Labor and Delivery unit caring for high-risk obstetric patients
• 11 rooms with 15 beds, average daily census of 15-20 patients, approximately 20 visits per day
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections and provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• 40 hours of orientation provided to support your transition to the unit
• Opportunity to work with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• First-time travelers accepted for this position

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1-3
• Postpartum experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to float to meet facility needs within scope of practice (travelers are first to float)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check (no Nursys or background hits accepted)
• Must not reside within 50-mile local radius
