Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring EPIC experience and a minimum of 3 years of L&D experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit including 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum areas
• Low and high risk L&D with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• 4 weekend shifts per month required (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts
• May be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift
• Float to Perinatal required if needed
• Uses SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts systems

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
• EPIC experience required
• Allscripts charting experience preferred
• Skilled in external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience circulating for C-sections required
• References required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care across triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and post-partum areas
• Must work most holidays with holiday RTO not guaranteed
• RTO must be submitted with initial application and cannot exceed 3 days total
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• RTO changes only permitted to cancel previously requested time off
• Advanced EKG exam required prior to start with a minimum passing score of 80%
• Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Previous employees considered on a case-by-case basis
