Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring Epic experience and at least 3 years of L&D nursing experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit with 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum areas
• Low and high risk L&D with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 4 weekend shifts per month required (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts
• May be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift
• Floating to Perinatal required as needed
• Unit systems include SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
• Epic experience required
• Allscripts charting experience preferred
• Skilled in external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience circulating for C-sections required
• References required for consideration

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including circulating for C-sections and fetal monitoring
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application and confirmed for the full 13-week contract
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 3 RTO days allowed for the contract
• One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed
• Must work most holidays
• Advanced EKG exam required prior to start with a minimum 80% passing score
• Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
