Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required. May float to postpartum as needed. Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.

• 266-bed acute care hospital with approximately 200 deliveries per month
• Unit features 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
• No on-call required; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system; 40 hours of orientation provided
• Elevated seasonal winter rate available for qualifying start dates
• Opportunity to work in a prestigious beachside location serving diverse patient populations

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced (or NCC EFM acceptable), ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM (AHA certification required for ACLS/BLS)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Skills required: Assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, high-risk antepartum care, fetal heart monitoring, sterile vaginal exam
• Ability to scrub for C-section is a bonus
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
