Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift maternity float pool position requiring AWHONN Intermediate certification and Epic experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with maternity float pool coverage between L&D and Postpartum
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-07:15), 36 hours per week
• Required to work every other weekend and holiday
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MA RN license (temp/conditional license accepted at time of submission, permanent required within 48 hours of offer)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or above
• 3 years of L&D experience strongly preferred; will consider 1-2+ years with travel experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers considered only if coming from a teaching hospital with required teaching hospital experience
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care procedures

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, medication administration, and postpartum care
• Must pass two pass/fail exams at orientation (medication exam and telemetry exam), each with one attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials provided during compliance process and orientation
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• 75-mile radius requirement for local candidate eligibility
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review; no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
