Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract.

Highlights:

• 182-day travel assignment in a coastal Northern California community
• Work with a culturally diverse patient population providing high-risk obstetrical care
• 11 rooms with 15 beds; average daily census of 15-20 patients with approximately 20 visits per day
• Postpartum experience preferred; RNs circulate on cesarean sections
• 40 hours of paid orientation to support your transition
• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of experience

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:3
• Proficiency in core L&D skills including labor and delivery, postpartum care, newborn assessment, cesarean section circulation, vaginal delivery assistance, fetal monitoring, epidural management, and breastfeeding support
• Willingness to float to meet facility needs within scope of practice (travelers float first)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must not reside within 50-mile local radius
