Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:00). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract.

Highlights:

• 182-day travel assignment in a culturally diverse Labor and Delivery unit
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients with average daily census of 15-20
• 11 rooms with 15 beds; approximately 20 patient visits per day
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections and provide comprehensive perinatal care
• Postpartum experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
• 40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:3
• Willingness to float to meet facility needs within scope of practice (travelers float first)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check required (facility does not accept Nursys or background hits)
• Must not reside within 50-mile local radius
