Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level III high-risk facility in New Jersey, requiring 2.5+ years of L&D experience and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Details

  • 13-week travel assignment on a Labor & Delivery unit at a Level III high-risk facility
  • Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
  • Floating required to the High-Risk Obstetric (HROB) unit, which includes 16 rooms caring for early inductions, antepartum, and patients on continuous monitoring
  • Floating may also be required among five hospitals within the health system (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL) based on staffing needs
  • Patient population includes antepartum and high-risk antepartum cases
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Block scheduling is not permitted
  • No RTO during the first week of the assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted at time of profile consideration

Requirements

  • Active NJ or Compact RN license, in hand and currently active at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP — must be in hand at time of consideration and not expiring within 30 days of assignment start
  • Minimum 2.5–3 years of L&D experience required, with recent experience within the last 12 months
  • Must pass a Dysrhythmia exam during orientation (only two attempts allowed; must be completed on a PC — not an iOS device — within 72 hours of signing)
  • COVID-19 vaccine required, no exemptions accepted
  • Flu vaccine required, no exemptions accepted
  • Two current professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidates living within 50 miles of the primary facility are subject to a local pay rate
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Pre-employment labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
  • Candidates must be clean-shaven for respirator fit testing prior to starting on the unit
  • Orientation includes specialty-specific modules tracked via transcripts
  • Travel pairs are not accepted — candidates must be submitted and considered individually
