Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring CA RN licensure, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP certification.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within an LDRP setting
• Community hospital with Trauma Level I designation
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic EMR experience required
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide support to obstetricians, surgical scrub techs, RNs, and Charge Nurses in the execution of care and procedures in the LDRP setting
• Perform competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication with patients and families
• May be responsible for mentoring and training students
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate
• Returning employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
