Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring CA licensure, AWHONN certification, and 2+ years of L&D experience.

Details

Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
Patient ratio of 1:1-2
On-call as needed
No weekend requirement
Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
AWHONN Advanced certification required
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

Independently uses the nursing process to provide individualized, age-appropriate care for a group of patients
May supervise the work of staff nurses, licensed vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care using information from multiple sources
Local candidates accepted at local rate
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
Returning staff must be gone at least 1 year in order to return as a traveler
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
Only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract
Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
First-time travelers are not considered for this position
