Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring AWHONN certification and a CA RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• On-call required as needed
• No weekend requirement
• Epic charting system experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN certification required (Advanced preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must provide 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year
• 7-year work history verification required
• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing

Additional Information

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• May supervise other staff nurses, licensed vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates
• Demonstrates age-specific competencies for the patient population served
• Holiday coverage may be required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Only one holiday RTO request approved per contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Returning staff or travelers must have a one-year separation before returning
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers not considered for this position
