Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a high-risk OB facility in Eureka, CA, requiring a CA RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting that serves a high-risk OB and culturally diverse patient population
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections
• Post-partum experience is preferred
• Unit has 11 rooms and 15 beds with an average daily census of 15–20 patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Weekend work required to meet staffing needs
• Floating required within scope of practice; travelers are first to float, including between sister facilities within the state
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of consideration — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• BLS certification required (specific additional certifications not listed)
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required prior to start
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates

• Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a different rate
• Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract and must be requested upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be honored
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
