We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Seattle, WA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, providing exceptional care to patients during labor and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to midwifery clients and private OBs.
• Support adult recovery services and community care clinics.
• Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery, continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
• Circumvent and provide newborn care, including eye assessments, thigh assessments, and Vitamin K injections.
• Float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with a strong preference for candidates with 5 years of high-risk experience.
• Current supervisory references and proof of required certifications must be provided with submission.
• Must pass clinical review; do not submit without proof of current NURSYS.
• Experience in high acuity and high pace environments is required.
• Certifications: Required - BLS, NRP; Preferred - ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.

Unit Details:

• High Risk/High Volume L&D with 4 operating rooms.
• Average daily census of 15 patients, with 500-600 deliveries per month.
• 31 beds available in the unit.
• Schedule is posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
