Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery/Postpartum RN with a minimum of 3 years' experience and current MA RN licensure for a day rotator position with EOW and call requirements.

Details

• 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit encompassing L&D, PP, NBN, 2 ORs, 2 RRs, and 2 ANU rooms
• Unit includes 5 LD rooms, 12 PP beds, 2 ORs, 2 RRs, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
• Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
• Clinician to patient ratios: L&D 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip or epidural patients; PP 1:3-4
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Day rotator position with rotation to evenings and nights as needed; straight days not offered
• Shifts rotate between 7:00am-7:30pm, 11:00am-11:30pm, and 7:00pm-7:30am
• Every other weekend (EOW) required with one night of on-call
• No floating required
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing experience required
• Skill sets required: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulating, and Newborn Care
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• Current EFM certification required, renewed every 2 years for L&D
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across Labor & Delivery and Postpartum settings, including circulating and newborn care duties
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility
