Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Maternal-Child Health (MCH) team. Under general supervision, the MCH Nurse will provide care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, and families throughout the continuum of care. This role involves utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients in labor, postpartum, and newborn care settings.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesia, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and their families, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Assist in GYN surgical and general postoperative care as needed.
• Demonstrate patient-centered behaviors and uphold the standards of nursing professionalism.
• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

Education Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in New Hampshire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery is required.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Schedule Information

• Night shifts - 4 shifts of 12 hours each, from 7 PM to 7 AM.
• Must be available to work every 3rd weekend.
• Holiday coverage is not required.
