Job Summary:
Nurse Manager Labor & Delivery position located in Templeton, California. This leadership role involves overseeing unit operations, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within the labor and delivery department. The individual will work collaboratively with clinical teams to improve patient outcomes and support the organization's commitment to safety and excellence.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; Masters Degree (preferred); at least five years of technical experience; supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills; registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved vendor; AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; AHA-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree; additional clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification.
  • Essential Functions: Provides unit-based leadership, supervises and directs nursing staff, participates in patient care, ensures compliance with safety standards, and facilitates staff development. Manages staffing needs based on patient acuity, evaluates employee performance, and coordinates operational activities to optimize patient care quality and staff performance. Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to improve satisfaction scores, investigate clinical issues, and implement policies. Ensures that the department maintains compliance with safety and quality standards established by accrediting bodies and hospital policy.
