Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a high-volume facility. This role involves providing care to high-risk obstetric patients, including postpartum treatment following delivery. The position offers flexibility with assignment lengths and schedules, based on traveler preference, with a focus on managing high-acuity cases and responding to census surges.
Job Details
Position Description: Ongoing opportunity for L&D nurses with at least 2 years of experience in high acuity obstetric care, capable of handling census surges and managing complex postpartum cases. The role involves working in a diverse patient population with high risk obstetric patients and postpartum treatment following delivery.
Certifications: BLS, NRP
Required Qualifications: Two years of experience in high-risk obstetric care, valid compact license, BLS and NRP certifications, familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system, and previous experience in postpartum and labor and delivery settings.
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications: Magnesium sulfate therapy experience, EPIC system familiarity, postpartum hemorrhage management, and JADA (Joint Accredited Diagnostic Algorithm) experience.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 3 out of 5 holidays per contract. All scheduling requests, including RTO, should be specified during submittal. Experience in postpartum care with high-risk patients, including management of magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, Foley catheters, and postpartum hemorrhage, is essential. Candidates must comply with facility policies, including responses to pre-qualifying questions and submission of professional references.
