Job Summary: The organization is seeking a Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse for a travel assignment in Thornton, Colorado. The role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients requiring labor, delivery, and postpartum services in a busy hospital setting. The position offers an opportunity to work within a supportive team on a 12-hour night shift schedule.
Job Details:
Location: Thornton, Colorado
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM); minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital labor and delivery nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications: Prior Meditech experience, postpartum care experience
Unit Information: Labor & Delivery unit with 14 beds for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients, staffed with 60 personnel including charge RN, labor RN, and postpartum RN staff; patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for labor and delivery, and 3:1 for postpartum, per American Women's Heart and Obstetric Nursing (AWHONN) guidelines
