Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a hospital setting located in Wichita, Kansas. The role involves providing specialized care in the delivery unit with a focus on high-risk labor, cesarean sections, inductions, and postpartum care. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team utilizing advanced equipment and supporting a collaborative, staff-focused environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 08/25/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a current acute care hospital Labor and Delivery RN license, with a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar setting. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM-C or AWHONN.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating cesarean sections and high-risk labor and delivery.
- Additional Information: The unit has 26 beds, a staff of approximately 112 members, and uses Meditech / CPN electronic medical records. The team emphasizes compassionate, patient, and solutions-oriented care and practices a team nursing approach. The facility features new equipment and technology, and offers flexible self-scheduling, supportive leadership, and a highly experienced staff with many nurses having 20-40 years of tenure. The hospital recently launched a new OB hospitalist program to enhance attending support for nurses and residency.
