Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the location. This position involves providing specialized care to high-risk obstetric patients, including magnesium sulfate postpartum care, with a focus on cesarean sections, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum patients. The role requires collaborative patient management within a busy acute care hospital setting.
Job Details
Certifications required: BLS, NRP; Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission).
Education/Degree Requirements: Appropriate RN licensure with at least 1 year of experience in L&D.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients and magnesium sulfate postpartum care.
Responsibilities include caring for neonates, adolescents, and adults, managing vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and handling conditions such as preeclampsia and diabetes.
Experience with cesarean section, high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and vaginal delivery.
Additional unit information: 20 beds, daily census of 16, with support services including respiratory, interpretation, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
Candidates may be required to float within division to units such as Labor & Delivery recovery, NICU, and postpartum.
Must work 3 of the 5 designated holidays, with all scheduling requests noted at submission.
References: Two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
