Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Dickson, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized care in the Labor and Delivery department of a healthcare facility. The role includes managing maternal labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care, with a focus on safety and patient-centered practices in a Level II NICU setting. The unit values experienced staff committed to maintaining high standards of care.

Job Details

  • Location: 111 Highway 70 E, Dickson, TN 37055
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification(s) in BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Fetal Monitoring training; valid Tennessee state licensure or compact licensure; at least 3 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery or a closely related specialty; experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and obstetric emergencies preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with inductions using Pitocin or cervidil procedures; proficiency in fetal monitoring and neonatal assessments; strong teamwork and patient communication skills.
  • Additional Information: The unit features advanced neonatal equipment including CPN central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist consultation, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps. Staff benefits from a team of seasoned registered nurses with approximately 30 years of experience each, offering mentorship and a collaborative environment. The unit operates with a focus on safety, including daily rounding and safety assessments, and maintains high standards aligned with accreditation and trauma level designations.
