Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery department is responsible for providing direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care. This role involves collaborative practice with unit leadership and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of maternal-child health protocols and a focus on person-centered care.

Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, certification in Labor and Delivery nursing or related specialty, graduation from an Accredited Nursing Program, within the state of New York, with at least 3 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), postpartum care, and Labor and Delivery cross-training is highly desirable.
Additional Information: The RN will work collaboratively with unit leadership to evaluate patient needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions tailored to women during labor and postpartum. The role includes floating outside Maternal Child Health to other hospital departments as needed, with scheduling based on unit needs. The position involves caring for patients with a range of obstetric and neonatal conditions, demonstrating critical thinking, technical competence, and resourceful teamwork.
