Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Obstetrics (OB RN) is sought for a rural healthcare facility located in Jasper, Indiana. This night shift position offers an opportunity to work within a small, dedicated team at a Level 2 hospital, serving an average of 70 births per month. The role involves providing compassionate care to obstetric patients during the overnight hours, supporting family-centered maternity services, and ensuring safe delivery practices.
Job Details:
- Location: Jasper, Indiana
- Shift: 12-hour nights, starting on 08/03/2026
- Schedule: Night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Certifications required upon submission: BLS, NRP, ACLS
- Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate, 0+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery, charting experience with EPIC or OBIX, spinning babies (or similar), circulating cesarean experience, excellent communication, assessment and critical thinking skills, resilient, and adaptable to change.
- Preferred Experience: Spinning Babies or similar specialized skills, circulating cesarean experience, good communication with patients, co-workers, and providers.
- Additional information:
- Postpartum or Mother/Baby float within the same department may be required.
- No on-call or callback duties expected.
- Unit operates with a 100% VBAC rate and a primary cesarean rate of 8%.
- Uniform provided in Caribbean Blue.

- Covid-19 vaccine not required.
- Gross hospital deliveries involve experienced staff, including pediatric hospitalists, anesthesia, and family practice providers.
