Job Summary Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Scheduling in the Portland area. This position involves floating between units such as labor, antepartum, and postpartum, with a focus on high-risk obstetrics. The role requires flexibility for on-call shifts, including every other weekend, with 12-hour shifts starting at varying times. Candidates must have a vehicle and at least one year of relevant experience to be considered.
Job Details
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting at 3 a.m. and 3 p.m. or 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certification in AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP; 2 years of experience; ability to float to multiple units including high-risk obstetrics; active license (compact license preferred); valid at the time of submission.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics, ability to work in Epic charting system, and familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring systems.
Must have a vehicle for assignment.
Candidates should be prepared for potential floating across units and facilities, including Seaside, with additional incentives and accommodations if floating to Seaside.
Additional Information: The role involves delivering care to women of childbearing age and neonates, with a daily census of approximately 200 births. The facility is a short-term acute care setting with 43 beds. Candidates must be available to work during designated holidays, with all scheduling requests to be communicated upfront. Proper responses to compliance questions and references covering the last 3 years are required prior to start.
