Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) The facility located in the local area is seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse to support high-risk/high-volume maternity services. This role involves assisting with vaginal and Cesarean deliveries, providing neonatal care, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during the childbirth process.
Job Details:
Required Qualifications: 1 Year of high-risk obstetrics experience, valid compact license in hand, High Risk/High Volume Labor and Delivery experience, active BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and ACLS certifications.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Support high-risk deliveries, assist with vaginal and Cesarean sections, circulate for C-sections, provide newborn care including eyes and Vit K injections, assess newborns, and maintain electronic fetal monitoring and AWHONN guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate certifications.
Float: Float rotation to sister facilities supporting Maternal and Baby services, including Antepartum and Postpartum units, may be required.
Additional Information: Candidates must function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum, adhering to Hard Stop monitoring and safety protocols.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to the question about prior work at a Providence facility, including location and dates worked. Two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required prior to start.
