Job Summary Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Night Shift Location: Hackensack. This role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians with care, and developing individualized care plans for labor and delivery patients in a busy healthcare facility. The nurse will perform therapeutic interventions, manage patient care, and advocate for evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing), Advanced AWHONN or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program). Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, with more than 2 years preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Greater than 4 years of experience in labor and delivery.
Relevant Hard Skills: Phlebotomy, IV insertion, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), vaginal exams, circulating in the operating room for cesarean sections, instrumental delivery assistance.
Additional Information: The position includes responsibilities such as circulating during C-sections, assisting with instrumental deliveries, and providing patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice standards.
