Job Summary: Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed for a healthcare provider in Hackensack, New Jersey. This role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians with patient care, and managing labor and delivery processes. The position requires delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care in accordance with professional nursing standards.
Job Details:
Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment, every other weekend required, holidays required, no on-call
Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing), Advanced AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA (American Heart Association), minimum 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D), EPIC experience preferred, Advanced AWHONN or EFM training
Preferred Qualifications: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Additional Information: The RN will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, perform therapeutic interventions, manage patient care, and document all activities according to standards. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, patient advocacy, and clinical excellence.
