Job Description
The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients, including ante-partum, intra-partum, post-partum, and gynecological patient populations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in labor and delivery nursing and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with the potential for floating between units.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in L&D.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond to changes in condition.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize EMR systems, specifically EPIC/Stork, to document care and manage patient information.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Current RN license in New York with a NURSYS report for all RN licenses.
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
- Documented travel experience is required.
- Valid driver’s license with an address that matches demographics.
