Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in a Level II Trauma Center located in an acute care setting. This role involves caring for high-risk obstetric patients, including antepartum, labor, and postpartum care, with a focus on maternal emergencies and complex deliveries. The position requires float flexibility between units and involves working nights on a block schedule.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license (compact license accepted), at least 2 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse, and certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRPSkills
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics, antepartum care, and maternal emergencies
Float: Float rotation may be required
Additional Information: The role involves assisting with high risk deliveries, sterile speculum exams, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and maternal assessments. Frequent procedures include epidural anesthesia, fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation. This position requires working holidays and requires upfront RTO requests at the time of submittal. Candidates must have references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
