Job Summary Labor and Delivery Nurse in en_US This position involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of compassionate, high-quality patient care in the labor and delivery department. The role requires utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, as well as effectively communicating pertinent information to the healthcare team.
Job Details
Position Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: BSN degree, current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing, ACLS, BLS, minimum 1-year clinical experience in labor and delivery
Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification
Additional Information: The candidate should have clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans within their department. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services and communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
