Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in New York, NY. This position involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care within a Labor and Delivery department, supporting mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process. The role emphasizes relationship-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to evidence-based practices to ensure safety and optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required; minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications; at least 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience; 1 year of travel nursing experience for travel positions (not required for per diem); Epic electronic medical record experience highly preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, with consideration for associate degree with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program; minimum of 0 years of experience.
- Additional Information: The position involves performing charge nurse duties, coordinating supplies and staffing, patient education, clinical documentation, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
