Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the area. This position involves caring for high-risk labor and antepartum patients, including those with epidurals, insulin drips, IV magnesium, and preterm labor. The role also includes circulating in the operating room and assisting with deliveries, with opportunities to float to other Women and Children's (W&C) units such as NICU, Pediatrics, and Postpartum.
Job Details
Position Description: General duties involve caring for high-risk labor and antepartum patients, including management of epidurals, insulin drips, IV mag, and preterm labor. Duties also include circulating in the operating room and supporting deliveries. Floating to other W&C units such as NICU, Peds, and postpartum is possible, with assignments appropriate to experience and unit needs.
Certifications and Licenses: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (or equivalent). Non-Oregon licensed registered nurses can apply and be eligible for a 90-day temporary license if their permanent license is not posted before the assignment start date.
Experience: 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Attendance of 2 days of nursing orientation, 2 days of Epic electronic health record system training, and 1 week of specific unit orientation is required. Orientation is non-billable, and the client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13 weeks.
Submission Requirements: Licenses to submit expected, and candidates must be willing to wait for license processing.
