Job Summary Medical Surgical Gynecology Floor Nurse in South Dakota. This position involves providing care in a fast-paced acute care setting with responsibilities spanning medical-surgical and obstetrics units. The role requires independence in patient care and adherence to facility protocols, including correct badge-in and badge-out procedures.
Job Details
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday, with 3 call shifts required in a 13-week contract.
Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse; BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to start; 2 years of RN experience; experience in Medical Surgical Gynecology units; current or recent 6 months of medical-surgical and obstetric experience.
Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification; NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification; 6 months of maternal health (OB) experience within the past year.
Additional Information: Candidates must have experience functioning independently in emergency room and medical-surgical settings with up to 5 patients; float to obstetrics and medical-surgical units may be required; familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system; navy scrubs dress code; training includes EPIC, OB, and Medical Surgical training; facility notes emphasize proper scrubbing color and badge procedures.
