Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse in a healthcare facility located in the designated area. This role involves providing professional nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. The nurse will utilize clinical expertise and the nursing process to ensure safe, compassionate, and efficient care tailored to each patient's needs, demonstrating age-specific competencies for neonatal and adult patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. Certified in ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and BLS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings, intermediate or higher levels of trauma, and travel experience are preferred.
• Additional Information: The role requires the ability to manage a patient population including neonates and adults. The unit features interdisciplinary support services such as respiratory, interpretation, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. Patient census and daily visits are variable, with approximately 10 rooms available for patient care. Orientation hours and compliance documentation will be scheduled as per policy, requiring completion within specified timelines.
