Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Department in Los Angeles. This position involves delivering specialized nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery unit, ensuring safety and quality through adherence to established standards. The role includes supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and supporting families through the childbirth process.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; experience in labor and delivery setting preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor required
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a high-volume obstetric department or certified in neonatal resuscitation (NRP) preferred
Additional Information: Collects relevant data pertinent to patients during labor and delivery, develops care plans, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and participates in discharge planning to ensure patient safety and well-being. Delegates duties appropriately among team members and provides education to patients and families as needed.
