Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in Lewiston, Maine. This position involves providing specialized obstetric care within a Level 3 Maternity unit. Candidates will be responsible for managing labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care, including supporting cesarean sections and postpartum procedures, in a high-acuity setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift; 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum 0 years of experience; Certifications required include Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and intermediate level training through the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) are preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal intensive care; ability to manage a three-couplet assignment; familiarity with external fetal heart monitoring and postpartum care procedures.

- Number of beds: 24
- Patient ratios: 1:6 (unit census varies from 3 to 24 patients)
- Equipment: Electronic Fetal Monitor (EFM), Intravenous Electronic Hardware Recorder (IVEHR), Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Powerchart, Omnicell Medication System
- Patient Population: Neonates and adults
- Additional Information:
- Triage of obstetrical patients; use of fetal monitoring; administering antihypertensives and insulin drips; assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries; newborn assessment and care; postpartum management.
- No float requirements; no first-time travelers; no pre-approved Rime offers per contract.
