Job Summary Labor and Delivery Nurse in en_US This role involves providing specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The position requires handling obstetrical emergencies, monitoring fetal and maternal health, and assisting with delivery procedures in a healthcare facility setting.
Education Requirements: Valid CA RN License with applicable certifications with valid expiration dates.
Experience Requirement: 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D).
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
Skills: Administration of blood & blood products, Antihypertensives, Antiseizure, APGAR scores, Assist with vaginal delivery, Bladder Distension, Cesarean Section, Circulate for C-section, Epidural Anesthesia, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, ID/Security Banding, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pain assessment & management, Pitocin (oxytocin), Pregnancy induced hypertension, Recover C-Section, Starting and maintaining IVs, Sterile vaginal exam, Terbutaline, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of External Fetal Heart Monitoring, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Use of PCA (IV), Vaginal Delivery.
Additional Information: Must be comfortable with both baby and delivered mother. Must complete required onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and provide 7-year work history verification. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to start date.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must upload Nursys license within the last 2 weeks and all certifications with valid expiration dates.
