Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in the Glenwood Springs, Colorado area. This position involves providing comprehensive labor and delivery care within a family birth unit that includes operating room, post-anesthesia care unit, and postpartum services. The role requires collaboration with a dedicated team to deliver evidenced-based, patient-centered care to mothers and infants, supporting approximately 80+ deliveries per month. The RN must demonstrate leadership experience, including charge nurse responsibilities, and be ready for an engaging and rewarding nursing experience in a regional hospital setting with a recent Pathway to Excellence designation.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends; call rotation typically one 12-hour shift every 6 weeks, subject to change.
  • Required Qualifications: Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid compact license to practice in Colorado; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; out-of-state or in-state licenses accepted provided the out-of-state agency is registered in Colorado.
  • Preferred Qualifications: RN charge nurse experience; prior labor and delivery experience; ability to manage high-volume deliveries.
  • Additional Information:
    1. Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
    2. CAPS requirement details can be found at timely application is advised.
    3. Ensure accurate Social Security number and date of birth information in Medefis to avoid onboarding delays.
    4. Guaranteed hours do not apply on holidays for clinic workers.
