Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the Western Colorado region. This position involves providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a family birth place setting, including operating room, post-anesthesia care unit, and postpartum care, with responsibilities for couplet care and infants 32 weeks and up. The role requires a team-oriented approach to support an increasing number of deliveries and ensuring optimal patient experiences.
Job Details
Position Description: Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery (L&D) Travel RN to join the Family Birth Place team. Responsible for delivering comprehensive maternal and neonatal care, including OR, postpartum, and couplet care, with an average of 60 deliveries per month.
Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license to practice in Colorado; current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Bachelors degree preferred; minimum of 1 year of experience in labor and delivery nursing, with RN charge experience required.
Schedule: Rotating shift; 12-hour night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week; with rotating weekends; call rotation typically one 12-hour shift every 6 weeks but subject to change.
Additional Requirements: Current Flu vaccination required from October 1st through April 1st; proof of vaccination, Nursys license verification, Skills Sheet, and other documentation must be submitted with application.
Additional Information: The travelers permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility. Ensure accurate SS# and DOB entry in Medefis to avoid delays. Out-of-state agencies must register appropriately according to state requirements. No holiday guarantee hours for clinic workers.
