Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in the labor and delivery department. This role involves supporting women through childbirth and is located at a healthcare facility providing specialized maternal care. The shift is scheduled for nights, lasting 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 10/06/2026 and ending on 01/26/2027. The ideal candidate will possess expert experience in sterile vaginal exams and be able to perform them independently, with a focus on high-risk obstetrical care.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery RN, Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), American Women's Health Nurses Association (AWHONN) Advanced Certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); located within 50 miles of the facility; valid compact license in hand at submission; must be open to working weekends and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in sterile vaginal exams, ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently, experience with Epic electronic charting system, high-risk obstetrical experience is highly preferred
Additional Information:
Must have expert experience and be able to perform sterile vaginal exams in an independent manner without supervision
Must be open to working weekends and holidays, with RTO requests required upfront during submittal
Must be willing to float to mother-baby units if needed
RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at the time of submission; late requests may not be considered
No on-call requirement
Will be scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week through the assignment duration
Confirmation of previous experience at similar facilities or on similar contracts is required during submission
