Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position located in a beachside acute care hospital. This role involves providing high-risk maternal care, assisting in vaginal deliveries, performing C-sections, and managing neonatal and maternal postpartum care. The position offers an elevated seasonal winter rate with specific shift timing and floating requirements.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, start date 10/05/2026, end date 02/08/2027.
Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, ACLS (American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) Advanced certification or NCC (National Certification Corporation) EFM, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring). Valid state license required; compact license accepted.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-sections, work in OR during C-section, and handle high-risk antepartum and intrapartum cases.
Float: Floating between labor/delivery and postpartum units may be required.
Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary services including respiratory, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Patient census averages 200 deliveries per month with 9 antepartum rooms. Candidates must be able to work in sterile environments and in OR suites during C-sections.
