Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Eureka, California. This position involves providing care for high-risk obstetric patients, including postpartum and neonatal support within a neonatal intensive care setting. Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California license, at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, certification in ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP, and current CPR certification. Minimum one year of clinical experience in obstetric nursing, with proficiency in neonatal and postpartum care, and the ability to assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system and prior labor and delivery experience in a high-risk obstetric setting.
- Additional Information: Travelers are first to float within their scope to meet facility needs. The position involves working in a facility that cares for a high-risk obstetric and culturally diverse population, with approximately 20 patient visits daily and 11 rooms. Critical skills include assisting with cesarean sections, postpartum hemorrhage management, fetal monitoring, and neonatal assessment. The assignment is 26 weeks long, with adherence to holiday shifts and specific scheduling requests.
