Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist, located in an acute care hospital setting, providing specialized care to obstetric patients. This position entails overseeing labor, delivery, and postpartum processes, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to clinical protocols.
Job Details
Shift Time: Nights
Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 2 years of experience in labor and postpartum care, ACLS certification, AWHONN Intermediate certification, BLS certification, and NRPS certification.
Responsibilities: Providing comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care, assisting with high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum hemorrhage management, and use of electronic fetal monitoring.
Additional Information: Candidates must include RTO (Reasonable Time Off) requests at the time of submission; previous experience working at a healthcare provider facility is preferred but not required. Must work 3 of the 5 designated holidays and be willing to float between like units as needed.
