Job Summary:
L&D (Labor and Delivery) Registered Nurse located at a facility with comprehensive maternity services and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This position requires providing specialized care for high-risk perinatal patients, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum care. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring. Candidates should have experience in facilities that handle 200+ deliveries or 100-200 deliveries. Valid certification in adult, neonatal airway management, and high-risk obstetric care is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Level III or high-volume maternity care settings; familiarity with EPIC charting system; previous experience with high-risk pregnancies, cesarean sections, and neonatal resuscitations.
• Additional Information: The role involves staffing 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum. Triage staffing includes three skilled RNs per shift, along with surgical technologists, CNAs, CRNAs, and health unit coordinators available 24/7. Candidates must commit to working three major holidays. No call-in is permitted unless pre-arranged. All certifications are mandatory and will be verified prior to assignment.
