Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse Specializing in Obstetrics and Maternity Care, based at a healthcare facility with comprehensive maternity services and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, supporting high-risk perinatal patients, and working within a Level III trauma center environment.

Job Details

• Certifications required: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring.
• Education and experience: Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience as an Obstetrics and Maternity Nurse; valid license in the state or a compact license in hand at submission.
• Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries, sterile speculum examinations, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, and supporting the neonatal team.
• The candidate must have experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries or be screened accordingly.
• Additional operational details include staffing ratios, interdisciplinary support, and specific procedures critical to high-risk perinatal care.
• Candidates are expected to work three of the five designated holidays and adhere to specific scheduling and RTO requirements.
• References: Two references covering one year within the last three years are required.
