Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to mothers and newborns in a high-acuity environment. The position requires a focused approach to high-risk obstetric cases and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
Five (5) or more years of recent (within the last two years) experience in Labor and Delivery.
One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years.
High Risk Obstetrics (OB) experience is preferred.
Additional Information:
This position may require handling high-acuity cases involving high-risk pregnancies and newborn care.
