Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialist position in ISSAQUAH, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care in a high-volume labor and delivery department, supporting both routine and high-risk deliveries, and attending to various obstetric and neonatal procedures. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with interdisciplinary support and a focus on patient safety.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, OB-GYN, Post-Op, Pre-Op, and related units; valid compact license in hand; does not accept first-time travelers; Epic experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification (preferred).
- Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred).
- Special Procedures: Blood and blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, Heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate, attending all deliveries including high-risk, GYN surgeries, couplet care, transition nursery, and low-risk antepartum.
- Special Equipment: Attends all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, and other obstetric procedures.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float based on skill set to postpartum and NICU units. Responses to prior employment at Providence facilities and references covering the last 3 years are required during the compliance process. Flexibility to work 3 of the 5 major holidays is mandatory.
- Travel and Licensing: Must hold a valid compact license; local radius is 50 miles; only sub to one Providence facility at a time; no Nursys or background hits accepted; return staff policy after 3 months.
