Job Summary:
Lactation and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) This role is located in the labor and delivery department of a healthcare facility. The nurse will provide comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The position involves independently managing patient assessments, monitoring fetal well-being, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective care for mothers and newborns. The incumbent will work night shifts at least 36 hours per week, with an expected start date of 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/01/2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License); 3 years of nursing experience; knowledge/experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR); Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitor (FHM); AWHONN Maternal Fetal Triage Index (MFTI); Basic Life Support (BLS) card from the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) card from the American Heart Association
• Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelors or associate degree
• Additional Information: The role requires knowledge of advanced nursing theories, techniques, and practices related to labor and delivery; familiarity with medical terminology, instruments, and equipment; and medication administration. The nurse will be responsible for performing patient assessments, coordinating nursing care, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies and safety protocols. The assignment duration is from 10/05/2026 to 01/01/2027.
