Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care for mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional to support a busy maternity unit with a focus on high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license required), minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Fundamentals of Obstetric and Gynecologic Nursing (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate. Experience with Epic electronic charting system and prior labor and delivery clinical experience are required.
Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification is preferred.
Float: Yes, Post-Partum, and possibly labor and delivery at other facilities nearby your contracted location.
Additional Information: Must be flexible to work at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Candidates are expected to float between sister facilities as needed and adhere to all safety and clinical protocols involved in obstetric care, including high-risk delivery support, administration of blood and blood products, and neonatal stabilization procedures.
