Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Department Registered Nurse position located in California. This role involves providing holistic, patient-centered care to women during labor and the postpartum period. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes and serve as a patient advocate throughout the delivery process.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: CA RN license; at least three years of recent RN experience working in an RN role; at least two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area of Labor and Delivery; certifications including CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) at an advanced or intermediate level; skills in therapeutic care, patient care, care planning, nursing process, patient assessment; education requirements met with relevant recent experience in Labor and Delivery.

Additional Information: The RN will assess the needs of patients and families, develop personalized care plans, implement age and culturally appropriate nursing interventions, evaluate patient responses, educate patients and families, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities also include delegating and assigning care, ensuring effective communication, and advocating for patient rights. This position requires triage experience.
